Judith Hartley.

Judith joined NEL Fund Managers as a Non-Executive Director (NED) in 2024. She is the former CEO of British Business Investments and British Patient Capital, the two commercial investment subsidiaries of the British Business Bank.

A native of the North East, Judith brings over 35 years of experience in the financial services sector, having worked in Corporate and SME Banking for Barclays and Bank of Scotland before moving into senior executive roles at the British Business Bank. 

She has served as a member of the government-initiated Taskforce for Women-Led High Growth Businesses and is currently the Chair of the Advisory Board for Durham University’s Venture Lab.
